Romantic Wedding In Provence With An Amazing Sunset: Marion + Oliver
The French couple Marion and Oliver usually live in China, but when it was time to plan their wedding, they decided to marry in their homeland France. It was a lovely day in the French province of Provence - a wonderful area where nature is lined with dramatic mountains, cozy villages and beautiful vineyards. The couple chose to start from a natural colored color palette with discreet colors such as light pink, green, gold and white. This extremely brilliant wedding got photographed by the French wedding photographer Pierre Atelier, and we are so happy to get to share his photos and the couples day at Sisters in Law
We are very fond of this wedding, everything from the wedding ceremony to the dinner to the wonderful portrait photos with a burning sunset. As always, we are very curious about what your favorite part of this series of images is, please share that with us in a comment below!
We love this lovely lace on the bride’s wedding dress!
The wedding itself was held in a beautiful stone church with a moody feel. Illuminated by only the daylight and candle lights along the walls and aile, it contributes to a romantic, rustic look that fits very well with the building. The small bundles of greenery on the back of the chairs also amplifies to the neutral color palette.
In the same colors as the small flower bouquets inside the church, a beautiful arch stands in the doorway. Beautiful!
The majority of all wedding couples want sun on their wedding day, which is absolutely understandable. But! A cloudy sky isn't too bad either! Often, the sun can make the colors look matte, so with a little cloud in the sky, the colors become clearer and give the photos more life. And if you have chosen a moody touch on your wedding, the dark rain clouds help to create exactly the feel you are looking for.
In Provence, the olive trees are considered sacred. Besides the fact that the olive leaves are very nice as table decorations, it is also a connection to Provence as a wedding location. Choosing decorations with care, letting them have a meaning, gives a little extra touch of personality to the wedding.
After a day of rain and dark clouds, the sun chose to say hello in the end. It was a magical sunset, don’t you think?
