We were inspired by nature and Norwegian traditions. We both love being outdoors and spend a lot of time in the mountains. Therefore we also wanted to celebrate in the mountains and stay at traditional cabins. Brekkeseter in Høvringen had the atmosphere we were looking for – cosy, warm, genuine and it had delicious local food.

We love the autumn colours, and our main colours were orange and gold. We had golden frames, vases and different accessories for the bride (shoes, watch) and orange for the flowers, cake and brides jacket (traditional «kofte»). The jacket was knitted by my mom. It is an old Norwegian pattern that my mum redesigned to fit the occation.

The whole weekend was filled with great moments with family and friends. But the photo session in the mountains was a lot of fun - cold but fun. It was actually very nice to be amongst people while photographing, as their smiles and congratulations reminded us how special the wedding day is. We even met a few hikers that sang to us. The photographer was also very professional and nice, and made us relax and enjoy the moment.
